The Rules

No one under 18 years of age, regardless of parental consent, can legally get a tattoo in New York State. You must provide a valid photo ID, such as a Drivers License, Non Driver ID, Military ID, or passport. No one under the influence of drugs or alcohol will be tattooed.

Where did the word “Tattoo” come from?

(Heard of the Iceman?) However, three key locations have been credited with influencing the modern “tattoo”.
